BEACH VACATION
2012
Fishing in the Cold!
from our week at Gulf Shores, Alabama.
Have you been to the beach in the Fall?
I would love to hear from you!
This is our 2nd year to take our beach vacation in October only this year our week was later in the month.
We searched on line and found this house...perfect for our family!
The BEACON II
Built back after Hurricane Ivan in 2004
This was one of my FAVORITE spots especially in the evening!
#1 Husband and I spent some wonderful peaceful time together in this spot.
Add a Fire for late night cool temps and SMORES.
I personally prefer simply roasted marshmallows...no chocolate or graham crackers for me.
One of my favorite Photos of the week!
Sweet Baby James conquered his fear of the waves and had a wonderful fun time
Sand Castle 2012
I love making sand stairs!
I've played in the sand with my children all their lives and now it's the grandpeeps turn. My family claims they will make sure I have access to a sand box in the nursing home! LOL!!
My First Fish...Ever!
If I weren't so proud of that little fish, I would NEVER let you see me in my beach shorts but hey...it is what it is...the Gmama
loves life!...fat legs and all!
Beach House Downstairs
This house had everything to make a vacation Perfect!
Josh caught this speckled Trout and long with the Flounder the others caught we had a most delicious seafood lunch one day
Some PaPaw& James time!!!
This was the view from my Deck every morning
Alabama's Beaches are all like this...sugary soft white sand!
I even found time to make 3 project Linus Blankets for our local NICU. I set up my sewing machine in front of the French Doors, threw open the doors, and sewed to the background music of ocean surf...AAAHHHH!!!
Thank you for allowing me to share my Beach Vacation with you!

ReplyDeleteIt looks like a wonderful place to spend some time. The white sand is so beautiful and everyone looks like they had a blast.
ReplyDeleteI visit Myrtle Beach to visit my son each October and some times in May. I have become a local quilter there. October Is BEAUTIFUL. Check out my post about being a Mobile quilter and the view. I am very close to the beach but not right on it.
