QUILTING SEWING EXPO
SEPT. 21-22
BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA
DOOR PRIZES
I WON!!!!
$35 PAIR OF 8" SCISSORS
Applique Pressing Sheet & Creative Quilts from the Crayon Box
I bought these after seeing the technique demonstrated.
I can't wait to try it out myself and show you the results!
Do you see the *Bowl*? It's a free trade item from Uganda!
In my goody bag BTW!
I haven't had much chance to play with my new quilting goodies. I came home to find my oldest daughter in sever back pain. The Dr. said it was from repetitive lifting (taking care of James) and she has a herniated disk, arthritis in one of the vertebrae, and a bulging disk. So...Guess who swooped in to help with James? Grandmama to the rescue. Ladies...I am so tired I can hardly wiggle. She had a part time Nanny but she is getting married. Hoping to find someone to fill her place but affordable part time nannies are hard to find...
I am also in the middle of MAJOR House Remodel. Pictures forthcoming!
Are you sewing for the LEAFS ME HAPPY BLOG HOP???
I AM...SORTA, KINDA, IN BETWEEN CONTRACTORS REPLACING WINDOWS, HAMMERS POUNDING, WALLS BEING TAKEN DOWN, AND PLAYING NURSEMAID PLUS BABYSITTING SIDEKICK SCOTT
CALGON...TAKE ME AWAY!!!!!! (Remember that jingle from years past?)
Still waiting on #1 husband's Biopsy results. Will let you know as soon as we know)

Well congratulations on all of your prizes and I hope you had a wonderful time. What a thing to come home to you are always one busy lady and I appreciate how you are feeling. Look after you or you won't be able to look after everyone else. I am so sorry for your daughters back problems I had back surgery for that same thing when I was 29 so I can appreciate the pain she is in. I will pray for all of you. Blessings Sandra
ReplyDeleteHi Jane, Love the scissors win and that applique sheet, I have one and love it so much that I've about worn the thing out. I'm sorry to hear about your daughter's back...my oldest daughter has major back issues and it's very painful. Since I've gone back to work I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed to say the least but at least I don't have remodeling going on! blessings, marlene
ReplyDeleteBusy lady you are. Congrats on the goodies. I had to read twice about the little book based on the name. Honestly I didn't know about that one when I came up with the name for my blog. I'll have to check it out myself. So sorry about James' mom. I hope she feels better quickly.
ReplyDeleteBack issues are bad news whether you get them by something you do or are born with them. I can't even lift a bag of dog food so I have great sympathy for everyone. YOU take care too!
ReplyDeletePoor ME -- I'm glad she's got you to help! Question is, who's helping YOU!? LOL!! Hugs... :)
ReplyDeleteSure hope they are able to help her heal....still praying for your hubby. Take care of yourself, now! :)
ReplyDeleteHi, I am so enjoying reading your blog and hope everyone in your family will have a speedy recovery.
ReplyDeleteI would appreciate it if you could please send me a copy by e-mail of your pattern for the 3" Spool blocks. (klosjes) Will be traveling for 2 weeks at the end of October, and it looks like this would make a great take-along project!
Praying for good results regarding #1 husband. Love your goodies. Wish you were here to go to KC with me this weekend, looks like I am going alone this year. So much more fun with a friend.
ReplyDeleteOh, how exciting!! Congratulations on winning the door prize. Fingers are crossed for you husbands test results.
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous. There's finally a big quilt show in Birmingham and it's the year I moved! I lived in Anniston for the last 3 years and moved to TN in June. I was so excited when I saw that this show was coming to Birmingham but then disappointed when I saw the date would be right after I moved.
