Quilt in picture belongs to me. Photog DD used it as a prop for this engagement picture. Barn belongs to a neighbor. Fabrics in quilt are from #1 husband's grandmother's House-dresses...so sweet.
I've have been having Sew Much Fun in my sewing cave the past 2 weeks. I've over committed myself to different blog hops, sew alongs, quilt alongs, swaps, gifts, charity blankets, etc.... Always nice to stay buzzy. You have alot in the pot.
ReplyDeleteI love all the swaps, challenges, QAL's and BOM's - and those great Blog Hops! I'm not a toe dipper either - it's plunge full length. Plus, I teach quilt classes, make pieces for our shop, commission work and gearing up for the vending season - love it when it is busy!!
ReplyDeleteGoodness! You are one busy lady! I think you have me beat on the toe-dipping thing. You are way more busy than me. That is such a beautiful engagement picture. Love it! What am I sewing? Bowls, Christmas thingies, baby blanket, and more bowls.
ReplyDeleteGood for you. I'm working on Think Christmas too and I just pulled my fabrics for Dots on Dots. And I have a Halloween See Saw block to finish for this month. But front and center this week are bindings for the Tribute to Danny quilts and a 100 Good Wishes Quilt for a friend's daughter.
ReplyDeleteGood for you. I know what you mean about the joining stuff. I am currently rushing to get a couple of things done that have to be finished before the end of the month including my doll quilt. But I did take time to sew up a Ricky Timms wall hanging of his convergence process. It was sort of fun. I don't know how I would incorporate it into a full size quilt but I am going to try.
ReplyDeleteThose NICU blankets will be a blessing. Love the engagement photo, too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet picture! I am currently pattern testing and then making bowls.
ReplyDeleteLoved how they used your quilt in the picture!! Loved how your RW&B block came out!!
ReplyDeleteJane I think you're incredible to be able to join all those things. I just can't make myself do it - it seems overwhelming! I did join the dots on dots one and I'll be hosting one later in the year but I didn't join the Christmas one (and I love Christmas!). I want to make the Granny blocks, but I have no idea when I'll get to that. Someday. Maybe. blessings, marlene
ReplyDeleteLove the photo shoot with the quilt! Oh my! I am working on finishing up my Red White and Blue paper~pieced stars and also my little sunbonnet sue quilt I started before vacation. My head is swirling with ideas for Dots...I too get pulled in with all the inspiration...I want to do it all :D
ReplyDeleteI did manage to purchase some dotty fabric but still not enough for a whole quilt. For travel time I am piecing my + and X blocks together ... now on row six (out of 15) but five of the row one blocks got lost on the first plane so when I am done, I will have five more blocks to make. This is definately a long term project!
ReplyDeleteYou have been busy! Happy stitiching!
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by my blog and your compliments. You have a very inspirational and creative blog. I'm originally from Texas so I understand the heat, lucky to be able to call Montana my home now.

ReplyDeleteI am the same way! We keep life interesting, I think. At least that's what I tell my husband. He isn't fully convinced. ;)
Oh gosh, you are busy. But I know where you're coming from. Sometimes I also over-commit. Oh well. I love the little quilt you're sending me. It will be displayed year 'round. Thank you.
