James' Journey toward independent walking is one of courage, strength, determination, physical pain, and JOY!
James is the JOY of his Mother's Heart, His Daddy's heart, his Grandparent's heart, his Aunts and Uncle's hearts, his cousin's hearts, and on and on and on.
If any of you have or children or grandchildren with special needs, give yourself an extra hug today. You are the wind beneath their wings, never ever give up on them, challenge them, set realistic but High goals for them, love them unconditionally, and most of all Have Fun with Them!! We were told James would always be wheelchair bound. Look At That Smile!! Someone forgot to tell James!!

Thank you for taking a peek inside our family and understand a little about what makes us tick. This family has circled the wagons, so to speak, for James beginning with his parents down to the cousins who are very protective of him.
Blessings
What a handsome young man with a the greatest smile! I know you're so very proud of him!
ReplyDeleteOh my Gmama. Thank you for sharing your Sweet Baby Jame's journey with us. It looks like your family has been surrounded by angels along this path. I'm sending you hugs tonight.
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful Jane, it brought tears to my eyes.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet little boy who has a wonderful family around him and angels on his shoulder to tell him he can walk. I always swear my Jonah is talking angels, telling him he can do what ever he wants. God knows what family to put these children in and they only make us stronger and more loving. Special hugs to James tonight and all of his family. Blessings Sandra
Thank you for sharing. The video, and the song, brought smiles and tears. Blessings to your family. Love can conquer all.
ReplyDeleteWhat an inspiring little boy. God has blessed you!
ReplyDeleteSpecial kids in our lives bring us more joy than we ever thought possible. My 2 have their own challenges and we work hard every day to make sure they are as happy as can be no matter what bumps appear in their paths.
ReplyDeleteJames is such a darling -- he's always got a winning smile and quick to laugh! ME is the perfect mom -- God knows what He's doing! :)
ReplyDeleteGod knows ALL and your very BLESSED!
ReplyDeleteGo James - you rock!
ReplyDeleteFor several years I have been on staff for Agonorees, Scout Jamborees for Scouts with special needs, and I went as support staff to a world Jamboree with a troup of Special needs Scouts. I admire the youth who spent the entire Jamboree helping those special scouts get as much as possible out of the experience. I admire the Scouts who combined their strengths to overcome their challenges. But most of all, I admire the parents who turned their special children over to a group of young people, to fly off to a different country for two weeks of unknown challenges (or opportunities).
ReplyDeleteWhat a lucky little guy James is To have a family who loves, values, supports, and encourages him on his journey
I have always believed children with special needs go to homes of special people. He has the sweetest smile I have ever seen! he is an inspiration to us all.
ReplyDeleteMisty here...truly inspiring and blessed. Thank you for sharing and hugs to all, especially that little man, James!
ReplyDeleteI work with children with special needs and truely believe that they are special in so many more ways than their needs. They are a blessing.
ReplyDeleteWell I just had a good cry watching the video. You are a lucky grandma and he is a blessed child.
ReplyDeleteMy 11 year old Daughter Lillian has physical and developmental delays and she is just the biggest joy in our lives. It is amazing that these children strive for the stars! I think back to a Dr. who told me that my Lil would probably be little more than a vegetable. She shines at school and is only a grade level behind in math! I pray for the people who are not optomistic about theses kids and all that they can do! Thank you for sharing James with us! He is truly a joy!!
ReplyDeleteJane that is just the sweetest joy-filled little face! And so much courage his parents show as they work with him. May God bless their efforts! blessings, marlene
