SUNFLOWER
FROM
MY GARDEN
HOW CAN I BEGIN TO THANK YOU FOR THE OUTPOURING OF PRAYERS AND WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT?!
As I was walking around the farm, thinking and praying, the last vestiges of our garden assured me that for every time there is a season. Look at these lovely sunflowers! Would you believe these sunflowers popped up from some rogue seeds I found in a drawer and threw out over the dirt just in case they might germinate and grow? I had forgotten about throwing the seeds until this week when I looked out our bay window and saw the lovely pops of bright yellow.
I was reminded of the beauty that can come from such a small seed....the Faith of a Mustard Seed is what God said is needed to trust in Him. So tomorrow as #1 Husband goes for his thyroid biopsy, that's all I need...the Faith of a Mustard seed...and the many prayers of family and friends... many who have been through the same situation and wrote to tell me of their positive outcome.
Thank-You! Your encouraging words mean something to me. That one phone call had the two of us navigating uncharted waters and yet we found that many of you had guided your ship through the storm and on to calmer seas. Thank-You! Your prayers mean a great deal! Like I always say,
PRAYER CHANGES THINGS
I will keep you posted on the outcome...good or bad...it's all good because we are held tight in the Master's Hand!

Oh Jane, prayers continue for both you and Roger. Love your sunflowers. May you be at peace tomorrow with the tests. Hugs.
ReplyDeletePrayers continuing here too!
ReplyDeleteWe had the most beautiful children's message at church this morning (sometimes I think the adults get more out of them than the kids do!) The lady doing the lesson showed the kids her wallet and what was in it - money, credit cards, driver's licence - and a marble! Why would you have a marble in your wallet? She took it out and put it in her palm, and closed her hand around it. She said whenever she gets troubled, she clutches the marble, knowing that God holds her in His hand in the same way that she hold the marble. What a wonderful picture of how we are safe in God's hand! Trusting that you both feel His perfect peace!
ThaT was beautiful! I will have that image in my mind and heart!

ReplyDeleteDear Jane
ReplyDeleteYou'll both be doubly in my prayers tonight, and tomorrow morning. Waiting beside you (in cyber space at least), holding your hand.
Praying, Jane! Jesus is walking hand in hand with both of you. Let us know what you find out.
ReplyDeleteLove you, love you, love you. :)
ReplyDeletepraying.
ReplyDeleteJane and Roger. Still praying for your both. Gentle hugs.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely post for all of us. Will continue to pray.
ReplyDeleteI've been watching your blog and my email for updates on Roger. I continue praying for him, and you, along with your family.
ReplyDeleteI've been AWOL from my blog hopping for a while, and just saw this. I'll be joining all of your other friends here in cyber space, and closer to home, as well, in praying for you, and for #1 hubby. Hoping you can feel His arms around you, my friend.
ReplyDeleteContinuing to keep you and Roger in my prayers.
