I'M *THINKING* CHRISTMAS
BUT
I'M NOT *FEELING* CHRISTMAS
TODAY'S TEMPS WILL HAVE A HEAT INDEX OF 105
I nearly melted trying to take pictures outside of my quilt blocks!
Thought I was going to have a Heat Stroke before I got finished.
Summer is just One Big Hot Flash for me anyway..
I'm more of a Fall/Spring kinda gal.

Twist
I had seen various blocks with these triangles twisted like so into a circle but I had no pattern to follow
so...much like most things in my life...I Winged It!!
I cut lots of different sized triangles, sewed them together, cut out a center circle to allow fabric to lie flat (that just worked for me... remember I was making this up as I went!), fused a red square set on point to cover the hole, fused a Christmas tree in the center, embellished with some tiny buttons for lights and squared up the block.
By The Way, Gmama is NOT a Photographer...just keep that in mind!
My Very First Attempt at FMQ!!! Can I get a Whoop Whoop!!??
Here's my Rowdy Block...Rudolph's Twin Brother
Look closely...what did I use?
Crayola Crayons for Crayon Quilting!!
I used Black Thread and a Fine Permanent Black Marker to outline
Rudolph isn't finished ...
If you are interested in knowing how to use this technique (which BTW is great to use with the kiddos or grandpeeps) go to MAMACJT..she is the awesomest at most everything she makes!
I plan to put these 3 Blocks together as a whimsical table-runner for my kitchen table.
I"M NOT FINISHED...
The next group of blocks are part of my
CHRISTMAS CANDY TABLERUNNER
Peppermint Twist
CHRISTMAS CANDY TABLERUNNER
(or at least as much as I could get in the picture because my dining room table is full of yard sale items for Saturday's fundraiser!
This project was begun last year when I saw the red applique tree on here yesterday and thought I could make a door sized version. I simply appliqued various red fabric circles and configured them into a tree formation plus Zig-Zaged stitched around each circle.
So there you have it!!
I've been busy!! HAVE YOU??

They remind me of my childhood-- those twinkling bright colors made everything look so magical at Christmastime! :-) I do use a strand or two of white lights on my tree as well, though. They seem to brighten everything up. :-) Thank you for the chance to win! Stay cool! I'm surely trying to. I've been guzzling tea and lemonade every day! :-) ... and dreaming of Autumn!
