The Garden had a mind of its own this summer but the end result was a pantry full of canned tomatoes, tomato sauce, squash pickle, marinated banana pepper rings (great on that Thanksgiving Turkey sandwich), grape jelly, blueberry jam, blackberry jam, blackberrries frozen, blueberries frozen, etc...

I have some "inspirational projects, utilitarian projects, and some just plain fun to sew projects. I have lots to show you now that I have more time to sew. School is back in session around here so my babysitting duties are reduced and less garden chores.

My Day is SEPT. 29th
It's Peach Season in Alabama and I live 10 miles from a working commercial Peach Orchard.
Does that mean I'm obligated to "put up" peaches & Peach Jam??? Put Up being the southern term for canning and freezing. There is a 1/2 bushel sitting in my kitchen...HELP!
OH NO, I forgot about APPLE SEASON
That same Peach Orchard is also a HUGE Apple Orchard.
Red Delicious, Rome, McIntosh, Golden Delicious, Jonagold, Pink Lady, Gala, Braeburn, Arkansas Black are just some of the apple varieties grown around here.

here is a video of my grandson James getting to be a Guest Chef at a restaurant in Birmingham, Alabama as part of his Magic Moments Dream Wish. He and the family just returned home from 7 days and nights in DisneyWorld. (I hope this video clip goes thru, if not let me know )
