MAKING A MARRIAGE LAST OR....

HOW TO KEEP THE HOME FIRES BURNING

Tractor Man came inside THIS AFTERNOON to deliver these....
Y'all, he looked just like a little 9 yr. boy bringing his girlfriend a bouquet of just picked flowers!
My Heart went Pitter Patter...even after 41 yrs.
(note to young couples:  this is HOW you keep the home fires burning thru the good and the bad)

So many young couples ask my husband and I just HOW we have stayed together for 41 yrs.  I tell them that marriage takes a love of God, work, time together, and LOTS of laughter.  A Bouquet of fresh picked yellow Daffodils from the farm are more priceless than Two Dozen Roses from the fanciest Florist in town!!!

Men, THIS HOW it's Done!!

I'm a Lucky Lady!

Blessings

Don't Forget me and my blogging friends on Monday to see what we've come up with for

  1. What a wonderful post...congrats on those many wonderful years...I bet you received a lot of daffodils! Alas, no flowers in our yard, but grocery store roses work for me! And my favorite chips of course! Enjoy!

  4. Well, no flowers to pick here so I guess that ice cream cone he picked up while walking the dog will have to do. At 78 yen, it is cheaper than flowers in the store down the street.

  5. I agree! In this 'throw it out and buy a new one instead of fixing it world ' we have all just accepted that if times get tough, just split! I'm not saying its easy! But I took an oath before God to love and honor and stay with my Honeyman! Even if I'm a bit tough to live with or he's a bit moody! ;0) see I said it WE BOTH HAVE FLAWS! but somehow we work through! And I look forward to our 20 years in Sept! (And our 41 in another 21 years! God willing!)

  6. I love your "how to stay together" philosophy. I agree. And in the "lots of laughter" we must be able to laugh at ourselves.
